Binance officially announced the SHELL listing under the title “Introducing MyShell on Binance HODLer Airdrops.” Trading for SHELL will begin at 13:00 UTC today.

After the listing, SHELL will be available for trading against BTC, USDT, USDC, BNB, FDUSD, and TRY.

HODLer Airdrop for BNB Holders

A HODLer airdrop is when a platform distributes free tokens to users holding specific cryptocurrencies. In this case, Binance will reward BNB holders with SHELL tokens.

According to the announcement, 2.5% of SHELL’s total supply (1,000,000,000 SHELL) will be given out as HODLer Airdrop rewards. Another 25,000,000 SHELL tokens will be allocated for future airdrops at least six months after the listing.

At launch, 270,000,000 SHELL tokens—about 27% of the total supply—will be in circulation. Binance has also confirmed that SHELL will have zero listing fees, allowing users to trade it without additional costs.
